Ministry to prisoners post-COVID

The pandemic made it difficult to get materials from the Joan Chittister Fund for Prisoners into the prisons and impossible for chaplains to meet with prisoners and discuss the content. But access to those in prison is slowly returning as evidenced by this note from the chaplain for a men’s correctional facility in Delaware.
It looks as though I will be able to gather with our intentional community at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center by mid-September. Thankfully, I have been able to drop off the “Monastic Ways” each month during this past COVID year and I know God is at work in our intentional community and in anyone else who was inspired to take one. I would love to be able to bring 25 of the Journals when I return to our intentional community at JTVCC. Grateful for the work you are doing, —Janet Thompson, sfcc
