Best Books of 2022

Joan Chittister’s recent book of essays, Awakenings: Prophetic Reflections was named one of the 50 best books of 2022 by Spirituality and Practice. “Awakenings shows Chittister, with a focus on the Divine Feminine, trying to rouse the members of her own church and people of good conscience everywhere to reform close-minded institutions,” writes Jon M. Sweeney in his review on the Spirituality and Practice website. Another featured book is Dearest Sister Wendy, by Robert Ellsburg, which consists of correspondence between Ellsberg and Sister Wendy about many topics, including Joan Chittister’s work.
