Interview on 25th anniversary of book

Twenty-five years after she wrote, The Fire in These Ashes, a book on the spirituality of contemporary religious life, Joan Chittister was interviewed recently about her current thoughts on the subject by Annmarie Sanders, IHM, communications director for the Leadership Conference of Women Religious. “There is massive change going on, and if religious don’t move with the change, then there is no use for their existence,” Sister Joan explains in the interview that appeared in the 2021 Summer issue of LCWR Occasional Papers, the organization’s magazine.
