Sister Joan and I corresponded when I was writing my first book, The Queen of Peace Room, and she helped me understand and define The Liturgy of the Hours. I am working on my third book and have completed a large art installation called “The Gown of Stillness.” It consists of pieces of fabric sent to me from people worldwide as a symbol of peace—I think the sisters of Erie might have a piece of fabric in the installation. It is always available for exhibit and was on view at the UN several years ago. Sister Joan is, and always has been, a great inspiration.
