Sister Elizabeth Gnam, who serves as a chaplain at the male maximum security New Jersey State Prison, recently called the office for free materials available through the Joan Chittister Fund for Prisoners. She explained that during the pandemic chaplains and volunteers go cell to cell to distribute literature since gatherings are prohibited.  



“We deeply appreciate the wonderful Catholic literature from various places,” she explained. The Monastic Way is deeply appreciated by the fellas. I like the new format. The calendars are very popular. The men need to keep track of appointments and it helps them.”
